Just a moment to chat

Wow I finally got a little time to just post my thoughts. Well I finished this site at least for now and now I need to get on my soap box and rant a bit. As you see today I found a lot of interesting links and sites, but that's not all this site was meant to be. I think now is the time to start posting what I think about technology, life, style, and the world. So here it goes one large rant about all that is on my mind.

So last night I was watching this program on the Discovery channel on "If we had no Moon". Turns out millions of years ago a rogue planet Orpheus slammed into the Earth and created our Moon as we know it today. Well you say big deal so you watched a program on the Discovery channel. Ah well here is the rub my friend, the Moon has a big part in our evolution. Did you know that when the Moon was first formed its pull on the Earth made a day 4 hrs long? That the Moon has such a stabilizing effect on out planet that with out it we might not even exist. Think about it no seasons, no polar ice caps, a world or just water with little if no land for bipedal mammals. Us, get it.

Well that got me to thinking about existence and all that and made me think how lucky are we to exist on this planet. I mean what a give is life. That lead me to think about the current world climate and all the hate and greed we see today. Think about all the things that had to happen to make you and I. Think about all the possibilities for your existence and our lives, and to spend that gift hating and hoarding all the gifts we have for what. The time you spend on this Earth is nothing in the cosmic sense. It just makes me think is all. Maybe we all need to think a bit about what we are doing and why.
